Creativity in History

Creativity is already existed a long time ago. It is because of the development of the human brain and culture at that time. Creativity existed at many fields back then such as medical, architechtural, culture and of course in art. Many artists managed to create various invention and artworks.

Some said that the beginning of creativity is existed in Mesopotamia, Egypt, Indus river valley and Yellow river valley.

What I want to share here is the creativity in Egypt civilisation. What are their contibutions? and Why they are creative?

Why were they creative?

They managed to build a nation.

What Kind Of Environment Or Situation Make Me Creative, Inventive,Innovative?

As a creative student, of course I need to be Creative, Inventive and Innovative. In order to achieve that, I must find the environment or situation that can help me. It is almost impossible for me to be creative,inventive and innovative at anywhere and anytime. I'm not Picasso or Leonardo Da Vinci. 

So what kind of environment or situation can make me Creative, Inventive and Innovative?

1. Calm place with not so many people in it.

2. Mingle with creative people.

3. Put anything that I have in mind on a paper. 

4. Thinking while listening to music.

5. Browsing internet to help with my ideas.

6. Take a deep breath and get out for a while.

Process of Invention and Innovation

Invention is about bringing a new idea for a product or process. And Innovation is about improving the existing idea to become better.

The article discussed about the development in Tablet Technology. About how this device is about the replace the usage of computers someday. On this case, the invention is the computer. The idea came to solve problems at that time. Yeah, they dont have an advance technology at that time. So, the computer was invented.

After years, with more development in technologies. Human realise that they can make a better computer. That is where innovation involve. They want to improve the ideas to help them solve the problems easier. So, they try to simplify all the functions of computer into a smaller device called tablet. And it works.

As a result, the tablet being really helpful today. It is very mobile. Easy for us to do our job or accessing internet where ever we are. Unlike computer, its is too big. Of course it is hard to carry it around. So, thanks to the innovation made.  

Sir Ken Robinson On TED Talks

Sir Ken Robinson is an educationalist especially for art in education. He got many rewards for his ideas and thought.

What did I get from Sir Ken Robinson speech?
He gave speech on Do Schools Kill Creativity? Actually he talked about how the education system today put limit to the creativity in students.

He believe that kids have a large capacity of creativity in their minds. As Picasso said that all children born artist, the problem is to remain an artist as they grow up. The education system today only makes students' thinking become limited. They just dont have the chance to freely do what they want.

The subjects tought in schools are according to hierarchy where mathematics and science on top. Art subject is not being tought as frequent as those subjects. What for? To grow students to be doctors and engineers? There are a lot of then today. We should think for the future. What does the world need? 

Its creative industry.

So,its our job to make sure that will happen.

5 Words Not Associated to Creativity

Destructivity
Creativity comes from words create and activity. Then the apposite to creativity is destructivity which come from words destruct and activity. The word destruct means to destroy something. It is very apposite to the word create. Thats why I put this as the first point.

Boredom
This is one of the words that apposite to creativity also. How can something boring can be considered as creative? There is no such thing right. Surely everyone love to see something that is interesting. The conclusion is boring things make you bored. Seriously

Plagiarism
Plagiarism is the act of taking or copying other thing from others' works. Yeah, its not a good act. Its also cannot be considered creative at all although you change it a little bit.

Rule
Yeah, I thing rules is apposite to creative. In creativity, there is no specific rule on thinking or doing something. You must be act beyond the rules or break the rules to get a better result.

Common
As I said in the earlier post, creativity is something that is extraordinary and rare. Does that means uncommon? Yes it is, I mean it. Something that you use to see everyday and everywhere is not a creativity. Its just a mundane.

Rare

Creativity is something that is uncommon yet interesting. Its not a mundane things that we use to see everywhere and everyday. Thats why people easily get interested to something like that. And even some people are keen to get those rare items. 

Extraordinary

Some people may think that creativity is something crazy but I think its something EXTRAORDINARY. Why is it? Well, creative thinking or creative products are different from the the usual. Some other cases, creativity is the ability to convert something ordinary to something extraordinary.

Imagination
Creative thinking or creative mind come from imagination. For me people who have a lot of imagination are creative. Some researchers said that kids are more creative than adults. Its is because the kids have a lot of imaginations in their minds. I think imagination can develop our creativity.

Meaningful
Creativity is a the other way the show the exact meaning of something. For example, arts come in various form either they are simple or complicated but they have their own meaning. Artists use their creativity on how to present the meaning.

Eye-Catching
Eye-catching also associated to creativity. Designer or artist struggle to produce the eye-catching artworks or products. Yeah, they will easily get peoples's attention. They will enable to show and sell their works.
